Frequently Asked Questions

Can we just show up?

You can always show up but we strongly recommend that you make a booking in advance. We have free board games, food (not free), and drinks (not free) available for you to enjoy while you wait. Remember that there is absolutely no guarantee that the room you want will be available.

I'm like 15 years old, can I play?

Sure you can! We make exceptions for minors. For every guardian we will allow two participants over the age of 12 to play.

How many people can play?

The rooms are designed to be played with larger group sizes. We recommend a group of 6-8 for ideal play. We do not allow groups of 2 to participate in any of our missions.

Can I play by myself?

No! For safety reasons we will not let you try the room on your own. It would be nearly impossible to solve some of the puzzle in the missions unless you have mastered the art of manipulating the space-time continuum or have multiple appendages like Vishnu. If you are Vishnu, you are more than welcome to try.

I made a reservation but I can't make it, what do I do?

We understand that things can come up. If you can't make a reservation please notify us 3 business days prior to the date of the reservation. If you fail to do so, we will retain up to $50.00 for your reservation. If the number of people change that's not that problem.

I have a health condition, is it safe for me to play?

It really depends... some health conditions may pose considerable safety risks. If you have a pace-maker, severe heart condition, epilipsy, claustrophobia, are growing a baby, or have a physical disability which makes standing, crawling, or climbing difficult we may politely ask you to not participate. Remember our staff reserves the right to refuse anyone for any reason.

Wouldn't this game be more fun if we were drunk or high?

Although some things might be more fun under the influence of mind-altering substances, we don't think this is one of them. Having a clear mind actually makes this activity more enjoyable. We also do not tolerate substance abuse and have zero tolerance attempting to participate while under the influence of any mind-altering drug other than caffeine or prescribed medication. Remember, our staff reserves the right to refuse anyone for any reason.

What if I get scared or have an emergency and need to leave?

The door you enter acts as both an entrance and an emergency exit. You can leave the mission at any time for any reason.

It's so dark in here; can I use my lighter or cellphone to see?

Absolutely not! You may not bring in any digital devices or flammable substances. This is for both your safety and also because the lighting can be part of the puzzles. We also don't want you taking picture while inside the room. If we want you to have light we will give it to you; You will find a flashlight or a light switch.

How will you know if I try to cheat by using my own lighting or cellular device?

What a great question! We have installed cameras inside the rooms and have you under surveillane for safety reasons. If we see you violating this rule, your entire group will be asked to leave the room immediately. You will not be issues a refund.

I found a fire extinguisher, is this part of the puzzle?

NO! For your safety and because the city of Toronto says so, we must have fire extinguishers in your mission. If you find one please do not use it, unless you see a fire or a pack of hungry ravenous wolves.
