If you’re tired of doing the typical Toronto activities to celebrate the spirit of spooky this Halloween, don’t worry–so are we. Toronto is a hub of fantastic activities, where there is always something going on, but it’s much harder to find the more niche fun things to do that don’t just involve heading to Screemers or Halloween Haunt. In the spirit of offering activities that are still fun and scary but not very well known, here’s a short list of things to do in Toronto this Halloween that you might not have done before.
The Haunting of Noriko
Of course, our first recommendation is to come play a horror-themed game at Escape Games Canada, specifically in this case The Haunting of Noriko. With two floors of puzzles, The Haunting of Noriko explores an abandoned Japanese ryokan in the heart of Aokigahara, better know as the suicide forest. Years ago, the father of a seemingly happy family murdered his daughter and her fiance in a drunken rage. The girl’s spirit came back to seek vengeance, and there her soul remains, waiting for redemption–or to claim more victims. While the room does not currently feature a live actor, you’ll still feel like someone–or something–is in the room with you. Watch your back!
Stormcrow Manor
Stormcrow Manor is hosting a Halloween event on October 31st, a spooky haunted party that invites all wicked souls looking to celebrate a festive night of thrills. Escape Games Canada has a promotion going with Stormcrow Manor, where visiting Escape Games Canada will get you 15% off food menu items at the Manor, and vice versa (visiting Stormcrow will net you 15% off at Escape Games Canada). If you were looking for a fun night of terror, come play a scary mission at Escape Games Canada and then visit Stormcrow Manor for their fun Halloween party.
Strangers
Escape Games Canada loves to celebrate Halloween, and we came up with as much Halloween spirit as we could muster to give you fun things to do in Toronto this Halloween. At the beginning of October we partnered with Cineplex Pictures to give away 5 sets of free movie passes for two to see The Strangers Chapter 2 in theatres. While the giveaway is over, the movie remains in theatres to inspire horror all through the month of October, giving fuel to freaky fantasies. If you haven’t seen it yet, head out to theatres to get it in surround sound!
Hopefully this short list of things to do in Toronto this Halloween will be helpful in filling your spooky season with fright and fun. Whether you come to play a mission at Escape Games Canada, head over to Stormcrow for Halloween night fun, or take your friends or partners to go see a scary movie, we wish all lovers of horror a fantastic October!
